Craft and Coffee Morning

Today I held my first craft and coffee morning. I invited anyone in the local area to pop along for a coffee, cake and have a go at making a card or two and see what stampin’ up! is about. Today we had two local ladies that came and had a lovely time and a close friend came along as well. We made the card based on the blog below and each chose there stamp set of choice and colours and made a card loosely based around my design. Below is my design.

Bootcamp task 1

Hi all,

I am participating in a bootcamp in one of my fellow crafters group. The idea being to make myself more organised and hopefully participate in more events. This weeks task was to choose a design from one of the current catalogues and to base idea on that but change colours and stamps. So below is a picture of my card and envelope I was inspired to make from page 130 from annual catalogue.

I used naturals ivory card stock for the base. The indents were made using the envelope score board. I chose to use flower shop and petite petals stamp set. The colours used were rose red, bermuda bay, tempting turquoise, Pistachio pudding, coastal cabana, and crisp cantaloupe. I finished it off with some real red bakers twine around the top and rhinestones for the centre of the flowers.

The envelope was made using the envelope punch board, stamped with the versa mark pad and the petite petals and secured with some retro fresh designer washi tape.

This is slightly different design for me and I quite like it. Tomorrow I shall be holding a workshop and this is going to be my star piece I hope.

I would be interested in your thoughts.
